MENTOR STANDARDS

What a verified mentor means.

Trust works both ways. Clients need to know who they're talking to, and mentors need to know what's expected of them. This page explains how verification works for everyone on Immigroov.

A verified badge means our team has reviewed the mentor's profile and experience against Immigroov's verification standards before the profile goes live.

It does not mean the mentor is a licensed immigration professional, nor does it guarantee any visa, job or immigration outcome.

1. How a mentor gets verified

  1. 01

    Apply

Expats and locals with relevant lived or professional experience apply to join.

  2. 02

    Build the profile

Countries, languages, expertise, a professional introduction, and services, pricing and availability.

  3. 03

    Profile review

Our team checks completeness, relevance of experience, and clarity of services and pricing, usually within 3 working days. If anything is missing, we tell the mentor what to update.

  4. 04

    Commit and go live

The mentor accepts our conduct standards, and the verified profile goes live for clients to book.

2. The standards every verified mentor commits to

Respect

communicate with patience and courtesy.

Privacy

keep client information confidential.

Honesty

represent experience truthfully, including what they don't know.

Scope

stay within the session the client booked.

Clients can expect these standards in every session. Mentors agree to them before going live.

3. What mentoring is, and isn't

Mentoring is

  • Practical, first-hand experience
  • Educational guidance for your situation

Mentoring isn't

  • Regulated legal advice, unless the mentor is qualified and permitted
  • A guarantee of visa, job or immigration outcomes

4. Making a good match

Clients, before you book, check:

  • Does the mentor's experience match your destination and goal?
  • What's included: description, duration and price?
  • Do their languages and availability suit you?
  • What do past clients say? (where reviews are available)

Mentors: a clear profile gets better-matched bookings. Be specific about your route, profession and the topics you know first-hand. Groovia uses these details to match you with the right clients.

5. Keeping verification

Verification is ongoing, not a one-time stamp. Reviews after completed sessions help clients choose and help good mentors stand out.

If a profile, session or client feedback raises a concern, we'll contact the mentor to understand what happened. We may suspend or remove verification when conduct, service or profile information falls short of our standards.

6. Questions or concerns?

Clients and mentors can contact support@immigroov.com at any time. We review every report and respond within 3 working days.
